English section - weapons

Hello,

I have added the weapons information page on the English gta2.info section.

I would like to know from you guys if there are things I have forgotten to say about the weapons. If you spot grammar mistakes, don't hesitate and reply here.

Yeah, some more information about the electro baton would be nice.

I have never played with the weapon and the translation of bit's little story was unreadable. Google and I also had a bad day.

Lets see...
it does not hurt people, still gets people out of cars, when there hit when standing still, does not damage cars, and when you hit a player ped with it, the player ped starts to... plain walk, and i dont mean run, he just walks forward, but still controllable(and you CAN still shoot/attack). When hitting normal peds, they run away(or attack back, depending on their settings).

And the electro baton is handy for groups of bots, to slow the player down with that effect. Thats all things i ever noticed about it.

EDIT: Maybe i didnt told in all the details, that it fires a bullet, at the size of a pistol bullet, its NOT a close combat weapon!

great idea, but something is not all right, some images doesnt work and u should put movies on google video or youtube becouse it also doesnt work, even if it work the movie will a little lag. So i prefer google video or youtube

The movies are only around 100kb small, they are easy to make in 'movie maker' and easy to insert with 'Dreamweaver' and in my browser they do not lag. Maybe we can make it a stream movie so it will only download when you click on play, but I haven't figured that out. Maybe it can be done with JavaScript and code that it doesn't preload.

If you still want the movies on you-tube or Google video that's ok but I cannot do that.

For the record: It took my whole yesterday to figure out how to make the movies, inserting them correct in the webpage without auto play and that converting to .MOV wasn't necessary. But now that know how to do it, it is easy.

The movies work perfectly for me, and my PC is pure *beeeep* sometimes, lol.

Maybe some more movies, lol, but a movie for every weapon could start to load weird, or laggy. And you can do alot of weird tricks with a flamethrower, maybe make a movie about that. FlameThrowers are very flexible.

I see 6 options:

- convert to flash which will only show play button and when viewer clicks the movie will load and play. problem is that the file size will be way bigger and I do know flash but not flash movie.

- put on goolevideo/youTube which will give us no control at all but saves space and bandwidth. I think this is more an option for 2 min movies or longer and personally I do not like to give Google everything in they're hands (youTube is also from google).

- keep it as it is so viewer will simply download 300kb of movie. (if we keep it at 3 movies)

- put the movie into a pop-up. Viewer simply clicks on a link/image/button and the pop-up will come up. Personally I do not like pop-ups and some browsers block them.

- make the movie a stream where you need a web host for that accepts different url's, I do not know if we got that. but if we do, the movie will open in windows media player (program) outside the webpage. all that for a 10 seconds movie?

- give viewer an image to click on and the movie will play after the player loaded. this is all in browser at the image place. Movie will not load until viewer clicks the image. problem is that the JavaScript code needed for this is not understood by me at all. It is just from some dude's website which looks ok. personally this looks the best solution because I only need to add some code that is already finished and I do not have to convert anything or figure out how flash movie works. (I got flash and all but movie is different stuff)
